PATH CLOSURE, 20 JUNE FOR 1 WEEK
Barton Fields Link Path and Hub
Work will be carried out from 20 June along the informal path marked in red between the cycletrack and the Thames Path.
The purpose is to create a much improved mud free path, walkable throughout the year. At the top end of the path there will also be an information hub with interpretation boards about Barton Fields Wildlife Site and the wider Radley Lakes area, a notice board and seating.
Unfortunately, the path will be closed for about a week while work is in progress. For this period please use the path round the western edge of Barton Fields, marked in green. This is longer but is a right of way and a pleasant walk. Do not attempt to cross the centre of Barton Fields: there is no route through and natural life will be disturbed.
We do apologise for the temporary inconvenience, but believe that the project will prove well worthwhile.
